Night Guards & Bite Splints
Custom-made guards for grinding at night and for contact sports
People who grind their teeth at night often do not notice, but wake with a sore jaw, temple headaches or sensitivity to cold drinks. Over time the teeth wear down and can crack.
A bite splint is a clear guard worn over the teeth at night, made from an impression of your own mouth. Hard and soft types are available, chosen to suit the severity and your bite.
Custom sports mouth guards are also made here. They fit better than off-the-shelf guards and stay in place during play.

Common questions
How do I know if I grind my teeth?
Common signs are waking with a sore jaw, temple headaches, unusually flat worn teeth, or someone hearing you grind at night. Your dentist can see the wear pattern.
Hard or soft splint?
Hard splints last longer and suit heavy grinders. Soft ones are more comfortable and cost less. Your dentist chooses based on your bite.
Do I wear it every night?
Your dentist advises based on your symptoms. Most people wear it while sleeping and come back for adjustment if the fit changes.
